Sketch Up or Shut Up is Philadelphia's only sketch comedy open mic! All are welcome at this monthly show - either to write and bring sketch comedy to perform, volunteer to act in someone's sketch, or simply sit enjoy the show! Sketch Up is the place for sketch comedians to work out new or in progress material in front of an audience. Please note that we do not screen material for this show.
Performance slots on Sketch Up are limited - a sign up list will be available 30 minutes before the show in the lobby of The Adrienne Theatre. Each writer or act can sign up for one performance slot of 5 minutes or less before the start of the show. PHIT makes every effort to fit in as many groups as possible but please remember this is an open mic and we only have an hour. Please respect your fellow comedians and our audience by keeping your sketch smart (controversial is fine, but discriminatory or harassing is not!) and within the alloted time.
