Written entirely through improvisation at the Magnet Theater in New York City, Sisters Three is a fast paced, multi-character comedy about a family’s reluctant reunion. Without sets or costumes to hold them back two actors seamlessly intertwine over thirty distinct characters into a heartfelt rollercoaster ride of dysfunction, redemption and baby pumas.

ABOUT THE CAST:

ELANA FISHBEIN - PERFORMER/CO-WRITER
Elana Fishbein is a performer and instructor at the Magnet Theater in New York City. She can be seen performing with Ariana Grande, the Armando Diaz Experience, Magnet Theater TourCo, and her solo improv show, Pepita. Elana has written and performed for The Truth Podcast and appeared on BBC America’s Almost Royal, as well as in the original musical comedies “Girl Camp” and “Nightfall on Miranga Island.” She is a member of Story Pirates, a non-profit arts-in-education organization that takes stories written by kids and adapts them into hilarious sketches and songs. Elana is featured in the documentary film, LMAO, about the therapeutic potential of laughter and comedy.

Elana has taught improv for corporations, non-profits, and educational institutions all over the United States, Canada, Norway, South Africa, and more. She has been improvising for over 15 years and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Theater from NYU.

ELENA SKOPETOS - PERFORMER/CO-WRITER
Elena Skopetos is an actress, improviser and writer based in New York City. She's currently working with Adecco as a writer for Google, helping to develop and write comedic content for the Google Assistant. 

She is a proud member of The Cast, which the NY Times calls, "One of the most exciting improv shows in New York City."

She writes and performs with the indie sketch team, The Rolling Scones, hosts and performs in Magnet's monthly character showcase, Character Bash, and directs the Magnet sketch team Student Council. She also plays Penny on the Songonauts Podcast and is an actor with Story Pirates, a non-profit arts-in-education organization that takes stories written by kids and adapts them into crazy, hilarious sketches and songs. 

Elena has performed in various festivals for sketch and improv throughout the country including The Stumptown Improv Festival, BCAF, Austin Sketch Fest, New York Sketch Fest and the Black Friday Comedy Marathon. 

Elena graduated Marymount Manhattan College with a B.A. in Theater Arts. She studied Physical Theater, Mask and Clown at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy. 

PETER MCNERNEY - DIRECTOR/CO-WRITER
Peter McNerney is a performer and head of the Conservatory Improv Program at the Magnet Theater in New York City. He is one half of the critically acclaimed improv duo Trike which The New York Times call "reliably one of the best improv performances in the city."

As an actor Peter can be seen as a series regular in the Science Channel scripted comedy Stuff You Should Know as well as a bunch of commercials.

Peter also serves as the New York Associate Artistic Director for the nationally respected education and media company The Story Pirates with whom he writes and performs on the weekly Story Pirates Radio Show on SiriusXM.

Peter is the co-writer and director of theater/sketch comedy fusioneers Sax & Dixon, who have been featured at Ars Nova NYC and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.

He is from Winnetka, Illinois, graduated from Northwestern University and currently lives outside of NYC with his beautiful and hilarious wife Beth Newell (Reductress) and a couple of gigantic babies.
